This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Amanda Kates who was born in Pennsylvania on April 14, 1985 and was MURDERED on June 08, 2006 at the age of 21. We will remember her forever. When is the killing of our children going to stop....what do we as parents have to do to get law enforcement to WAKE UP...does it have to be one of your children for you to care?????

Amanda was born in Abington Pennsylvania, she was the oldest of 5 children. She moved to Wilkes Barre, PA because her family wanted to get her away from crime and violence of Philadelphia, only for her to be MURDERED in 2006. She was a beautiful bright caring young lady. She had 2 children that she adored, and 4 siblings. No matter how much they fought she would do anything for them. She loved her family and friends. Those that had the opportunity to know her and share in her life are blessed. She could light up a room with her smile. She was fun loving, care free and a very giving person. She lived each moment as though it was her last, not to think that June 8th, 2006 would be her last, when she kissed her 2 little boys good night and then went to pick up her brother yet never came home, because some (can't say) guy fired 10 rounds into her car as she was leaving, one of the bullets entered behind her right ear and exited her left killing her instantly. We will love her and remember her forever. Our precious angel.
